BERLIN – Balance, bodyweight & mobility workshop

Join Tom and me for a weekend workshop in handbalancing and bodyweight skills training. This workshop will cover the most effective exercises, techniques and programming methods to achieve these skills. This workshop is suitable for all levels but prior bodyweight training and a minimum wall assisted handstand hold is necessary to make the most of this workshop.

LONDON – Handstand beginner & Intermediate workshops

We’re so excited to host handbalancer Ulrik Ask Fossum at MOVE Hackney in November! He’ll be coaching 2 separate workshops over the weekend for beginner and intermediate level hand balancers.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Beginner Workshop

Pre requisite: Interested in learning handstands

In the beginners workshop you will learn the fundamentals of how to efficiently and safely practice to learn a freestanding handstand. We will cover relevant mobility, technique, alignment, balance, endurance strength and how to put it all together to an efficient training session you can later practice on your own. Bring a pencil, notebook and a smile to get the most out of this workshop.

Intermediate Workshop

Pre requisite: 30 seconds freestanding handstand is recommended

In the intermediate workshop you already know how to balance on two arms in a straight position, so we are going to take a look at the next steps. We will focus on different shapes, tools for learning press and introduce one arm preparatory work. There will also be time for individual practice and feedback, and talk about programming for your own practice. Bring a fresh pair of shoulders, pencil, notebook and of course a beer for the teacher. 

OSLO – Håndstående nybegynner & viderekomne workshops

Vi er veldig glade for å kunne tilby en teknisk transformerende workshop med personlig trener og “instagram-fenomen” @ulrikonhands – nå kanskje bedre kjent som Norske Talenter-Ulrik – eller Ulrik Ask Fossum da, som han egentlig heter.

OM WORKSHOPEN:

Dag 1 – Håndstående introduksjon
Lørdag går vi gjennom alt som trengs for å øve systematisk på håndstående. Dette inkluderer verktøy for å forstå linje og balanse, samt teknikker for å holde skuldre og håndledd skadefrie.

Her kommer vi til å bruke mye tid på å forstå forskjellen på øving som gir fremgang og øving som er mindre effektiv. Deltakelse på dette kurset krever ingen tidligere erfaring.

Dag 2 – Repetisjon og fortsettelse
Søndag bruker vi mindre tid på teori og vier mer av tiden til å være på hendene. Det blir selvfølgelig noe repetisjon av de viktigste verktøyene, men mesteparten av tiden skal tilbringes opp/ned.

Her introduseres også øvelser for litt mere viderekomne. Det gis redskaper til deg som allerede har brukt mye tid i håndstående og nå ønsker å utvikle seg videre mot press til håndstående og enarma håndstående på sikt.
